Our curriculum is purposely planned by our staff to address the following areas of your child's development:
• Emotional. Feel safe and loved by caring, equipped teachers and identify/express their emotions in healthy ways.
• Social. How to interact in social environments, make friends and learn to be kind, listen, take turns and share.
• Creative. Our themed units allow children to imagine and explore the world around them. Our classroom’s 2 level dramatic play structure transforms each unit into a different play area. Children are given opportunities to express themselves freely in multiple ways including music and art.
• Intellectual. Engaged in age-appropriate activities that focus on early literacy, numeracy, shapes, colours, etc. We use Letterland to introduce letter sounds and formation in fun ways through stories and songs.
• Physical. Fine motor skills are purposefully developed through creative activities. Each day the children leave the classroom to either play on our outdoor playground, explore nature, play active games/music activities in our indoor playroom or play on our indoor playground.
• Spiritual. Our Christian teachers daily integrate Bible stories and prayer to help children learn that God made them, loves them and can be their forever friend.
A typical day’s schedule at TreeHouse includes a welcome circle time, centers, snack, outdoor/active play and story/song time.
