Big Questions About The Attributes of God

We will gather together with Dr. Andy Haag, bi-weekly, for a time to learn, dialogue and ask questions! Last year, we walked through the Existence of God. This year we will engage in the Big Questions around the Attributes of God:

This Bible study on the Attributes of God will watch and discuss the lectures by Dr. William Lane Craig’s *Defenders* series about the same topic. If you are interested in a deep and intellectually rich exploration of God’s nature, this is the study for you. Materials for this study will draw on classical Christian theology and philosophical reasoning. The study examines attributes such as aseity (God’s self-existence), eternality, omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, and holiness. Each session will attempt to unpack these divine qualities so that they are not merely abstract concepts; rather, group members will hopefully be exposed to these concepts as truths that shape our understanding of who God is and how He relates to the world. It is noted that when believers grasp the implications of God's attributes (His infinite power, perfect knowledge, and moral purity), they are drawn into deeper trust and reverence. In other words, knowing God is not just about acquiring information, but about entering into relationship with the living God, whose attributes reveal both His transcendence and His intimate involvement in creation. This study is appropriate for persons who are well seasoned in the faith and for the curious seeker; however, it is hoped that this study will offer all who attend a compelling invitation to better know what God is like.
