If you're feeling new and unconnected, medium sized groups are a safe entry point into connection for anyone to begin feeling like they are known and belong in our church.
What is a Life Group?
Life Groups takes connection one step further. Pursuing deep community, where you are committed to being in ongoing relationships with Jesus and one another in your discipleship journey. By participating in an in-person or online group, you can expect to connect with others through a common activity, engaging in life giving conversation and study that will grow your walk with Jesus.
What is a Support Group?
Every life has seasons of pain, crisis and challenges that can be isolating and confusing. Support Groups are a safe place to find connection, hope, and a path forward. Support groups are offered in areas such as mental health, grief and identity.

Alpha

Alpha is a place to explore the Christian faith with others. Each session has time for connection, a short video, and space to discuss and ask questions. No question is to complex or to simple. Are you part of the active, lively generation age 55-70ish? Come and join in as we gather for a great time of connection. No registration required. Please bring a snack to share.

Daybreak

A medium size group for women in all life stages. A time for connection, community, and conversation around daily life and faith. We will be offering child care through our Buddy Break program for kids ages 0-Kindergarten. Annual Registration: $40/person

Drop in Basketball 30+

Men and Women 30+, come and connect playing basketball Saturday evening after the service. A great way to meet others and get some exercise. 7:30 in the SCA South Gym. Court shoes required. Drop in, no registration required.

Grief Recovery Group

Starting February 11, 2025. This is an 8 week action based program that helps process pain and find a path of recovery from over 40 different types of grief and loss. We are a group open to adults with cognitive and/or physical disabilities who are wanting to study the Bible for the first time and would like to begin and develop their relationship with Jesus. Men's Pickleball 18+

Strengthening and building our Christian community in the Sherwood Park area, one pickleball game at a time. Join us Saturday mornings starting at 8:15am. Bring your own paddle and court shoes. (Ages 18+) We do require a registration fee ($25), as this covers the years equipment, supplies, gym usage and food/snack for get togethers on days we cannot pickleball.

The Sanctuary Mental Health Support Group

Starting February 11, 2025. Whether you’re struggling with mental health or are supporting someone who is, the church is a safe place of belonging, support and hope.
