The Battle of the Gods
Hey Church Family –
I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to share with you over the next 3 weekends. We are going to be diving into a 3-part series on the book of Titus. I will be honest, this is not a book that I have spent a whole lot of time in, and yet through my study I have come to love and appreciate so much about it! Titus was an apprentice of Paul's - A Greek gentile convert to Christianity who helped establish the early church. Paul writes to Titus while Titus is positioned on the Island of Crete - the epicenter for worship of the Greek gods. Titus was in charge of several house churches which found themselves blurring the lines between the gospel they had received, and the mythology they grew up with, and their lives were not reflecting the transforming grace of Christ. Titus' challenge, in many ways, is our challenge today.
This weekend, we will see that Paul's groundwork for helping Titus call the church back to Christ was to establish Christ as supreme, as greater than any of the lower case "g" gods. As the one who can be counted on to do what he promised to do. I am really excited for this series, and I'd encourage you to come to church, having read through the book of Titus (something that will take you less than 10 minutes) to prepare, and to do so each week for the next 3 weeks as we seek to understand what Paul was so passionately encouraging Titus towards, and how that same encouragement can be so important for us today as well.
See you this weekend, oh, and... Let's Go Oilers!!

Online Ministry Enhancement
The public weekend gathering is no longer the front door - the digital presence and online experience of church is overwhelmingly our first point of connection with the spiritually curious, and an essential method for initiating and fostering discipling relationships within our congregation. Streaming online is more than a broadcast - it's a platform with which to nurture meaningful connections with online viewers.
The hybrid church is the new normal.
To help support this new normal, we are launching an Online Ministry Enhancement campaign. For more information please see
