Easter Weekend at SPAC

Happy Holy Week, everyone!

And with that, I’ll get right to the point!

There are multiple ways for you to engage with your church in the next three days. Our creatives who work with sound, light, and video and gifted worship leaders have been preparing themselves and our space for three unique worship gatherings. We start tomorrow on Good Friday by remembering our Savior’s death and centering our focus on remembering His sacrifice through communion. The Good Friday service begins at 10 am.
Saturday evening, we’ll gather at our usual time (7 pm) for an experience of waiting...of anticipation. It’s the day in-between death and resurrection—a time for mourning and longing for what’s to come.
And Sunday morning, we celebrate Christ’s resurrection and triumph over death, this year punctuated by baptisms. I’m thrilled to tell you that 28 people are primed and ready to identify with Christ’s movement from death to life! It’s going to be a great morning! And it’s our practice, when the tank is filled, to open things up for anyone who might wish to take the plunge in a more spontaneous way. So if you sense it’s your time, we’ll be ready to support you in taking this all-important step. Easter Sunday service times are 9 & 11 am – I’ll repeat that - 9 & 11 am for Easter!

Groups Open House

Groups matter because they invite you into a place of deep community where you are known, loved and encouraged to grow in your walk with Jesus. We know community begins when we move from sitting in rows to doing life in circles together.
On April 22 & 23, immediately after the service, we want to invite you to our Groups Open House hosted in the atrium, where we want to help you journey into deep community.

Connections

If you are new or feeling unconnected and want to find a safe entry point into a group, we want to invite you to ‘Connections.’
Here's what Andrea has to say about her experience at Connections. 'I learned that I am not alone in my faith journey, and I'm beginning to feel connected to my church family. It was a wonderful mix of people from different stages of life.'
Connections will take you on a 4-week journey with others in a medium-sized setting. Here you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a meal, meet others, talk about faith through our current sermon series, and pray for one another.
Connections is a quick and simple way for anyone to find connection leading into community!

Each session explores key mental health topics, drawing upon the insights of mental health professionals, church leaders, and people with lived experience. The Sanctuary Course is for anyone who wants to learn about faith and mental health.
The cost for the workbook is $20.00, and registration is required, please.

Congregational Update

Over a few weeks in March, Pastor Greg sat down with members of our Executive Lead Team (Pastor Brody, Pastor Jeremy & Pastor Dwayne) to discuss what’s going on in and around our church.
Your leaders are evaluating, discerning, thinking, and planning for next fall and beyond, and thought it would be a good time to discuss some things about the current reality and how our world and church have changed.
To watch these conversations, please see here to stay in the know.
