Books We Don't Read: Zephaniah
Hello Friends,
I’m still working on my weekend message, #5 in our “Books We Don’t Read” series, and the series title is especially apropos for this one. Ever read Zephaniah? Ever heard a message on it? Me neither! Well, I have read it, but it’s not an Old Testament segment I’ve spent much time in, nor have I ever done a message from it. So if you want to experience what I’m learning from this old prophet, why don’t you hang out with us for a bit this weekend? In-person or online, we’ll be ready for you Saturday at 7 pm or Sunday at 10 am.
This weekend’s gatherings will also include another congregational update, this one focused on the gaps we’re experiencing with some of our ministry teams. My goal with these updates is to help you be better informed and share engagement opportunities as we continue to emerge from the pandemic. There’s good stuff to tell you about, but there are challenges too. If you missed the first update from Brody and I, and wish to get caught up, follow this link so you’ll be in the know.
Take care everyone,
Greg Hochhalter | Lead Pastor

Here, we’ll help walk you through understanding what baptism means, why this next step is an essential part of your faith journey, and the significant value it has behind your story with Jesus.
Baptism Prep Classes will be offered after each service on March 18/19, 25/26, or April 1/2.
If you'd like to do an online version it will be held Sunday, April 2 at 1 pm. When you register you'll receive a Zoom link.
Our next baptism services are scheduled for Easter weekend.
30 Days of Prayer
Join Christians around the world in prayer for our Muslim neighbours from March 22 to April 20, 2023. Follow together with believers around the globe using the Muslim World Prayer Guide that will inspire you as you discover and learn about the unique challenges faced by our Muslim friends. This prayer time coincides with Ramadan which is a time of prayer and fasting for Muslims.
We will have hard copies of the prayer guide available in the south atrium.
If you'd like to receive a digital copy, please sign up here.
Easter at Sherwood Park Alliance Church
On Easter weekend we will journey through three unique gatherings to end the Holy Week. We will recognize the most significant event in religious history, the driving force for the birth of Christ’s church. Each day will offer a different experience as we journey together from the sorrow and remembrance of Good Friday (Communion will be served), the waiting in Holy Saturday, and the celebration of Easter Sunday!
We would love for you to join us online or in person for one or all days!
For more information and service times, please see here.
