Belong & Become: Become

Hello friends!

Summer is NOT over, despite having to turn the heat back on yesterday! I loved the rain this week (and would welcome more!), but I am looking forward to getting back onto the deck, bike, and golf course. While we all welcome the change of pace that July and August will bring, I want to invite you one more time to learn about our newly articulated PURPOSE, our PRIORITIES, and our commitment to essential PRACTICES. This is the final weekend in our BELONG & BECOME series, where we’re describing biblically and practically how our leadership core senses that God is calling us forward in the next era of ministry. This weekend I’ll do my best to articulate the BECOME part, become...what? Become...who? (Plus, we’ve got a playful Father’s Day surprise loaded up too). I hope you can be with us in person or online Saturday or Sunday.
Don’t forget, there’s an important congregational meeting this Monday as well – follow the link for the meeting documents.
Take care!

Greg Hochhalter | Lead Pastor

Congregational Meeting

The Congregational Budget Meeting will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 7:00 PM.
This meeting is open to anyone who considers SPAC their home, but only members may vote. At this all-important gathering, we will review the 2023-24 Ministry Plans and Budget. Registration is not required to attend, so we are looking forward to all being together in the South Atrium on June 19.

Farewell to Pastor Jeremy

As we announced about a month ago, Jeremy Cook will soon finish his time here at SPAC to take on a new ministry assignment. He will be the new Assistant District Superintendent of the Canadian Midwest District of the Alliance Canada.
Join us next weekend, June 24 & 25, as we pray for and say farewell to Jeremy and his family. Plan to stay after the services to connect with Jeremy and Heather in the South Atrium.
If you join us on Saturday Night, ice cream treats will be served after the service! You don't want to miss out!

Love Offering

We have a tradition at Sherwood Park Alliance Church of blessing departing or retiring pastors with a financial gift. We want to honour Pastor Jeremy in this same tradition as he and his family move east to Saskatchewan and begin this new role. If you would like to contribute, you can give to the Love Offering online. You can also give at the giving kiosks in the South atrium - please write Jeremy's name on the receipt. This giving option will be available until July 2nd.

Elder Board Update

In April 2023, Manny Schmidt stepped down from his position on the Board of Elders. On May 23rd, the Board appointed Glen Tjostheim to fulfill the remainder of Manny's term, which will expire at the AGM in December 2023.
Thank you so much to Manny for his many years of service on the Board of Elders!
Please continue to pray for the Elder Board
